Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Turn OFF the twilight sentinel switch.
  3. Turn the park lamps ON and OFF.

Do the park lamps operate properly?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

  1. Remove the inoperative park lamp bulb.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the inoperative park lamp bulb park lamp supply voltage circuit and inoperative park lamp bulb ground circuit.
  3. Turn ON the park lamps.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 13

Test the park lamp supply voltage circuit for high resistance, an open or a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the park lamp ground circuit for high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Disconnect the lamp control module (LCM).
  2. Connect a test lamp between battery positive voltage and the park lamp switch on signal circuit.
  3. Turn the park lamp switch ON and OFF.

Does the test lamp turn ON and OFF with the park lamp switch?

  1. Connect a test lamp between the PK LP fuse battery positive voltage circuit of the LCM and a good ground.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Test the park lamp switch on signal circuit for high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
