Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 428108 Size: SH
  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the fasteners retaining the speaker (1).
  3. Note the orientation of the speaker electrical connector.
  4. Remove the speaker partway.
  5. Disconnect the speaker electrical connector.

    6. Remove the speaker.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector.
  2. Install the speaker into the door trim panel with the electrical connector oriented as noted during removal.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the fasteners (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the speaker fasteners to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).

  4. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
