Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 691015  Size: SH
  1. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
  2. Remove the three screws (2, 3) securing the rear cover (1).
  3. Remove the rear cover (1).

  5. Disconnect the HVAC control electrical connector.
  6. Use a small blade tool in order to remove the HVAC control switch from the steering wheel.

Installation procedure


    Object Number: 691024  Size: SH
  1. Connect the HVAC control electrical connector.
  2. Install the steering wheel HVAC control switch.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the steering wheel rear cover (1).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the rear cover screws (2, 3) to 3 N·m (26.5 lb in).

  6. Install the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
