Did you perform the Keyless Entry Diagnostic System Check?

Does the keyless entry transmitter lock and unlock the doors properly?

Go to Step 3

Go to Keyless Entry System Inoperative

1. Disconnect the Remote Control Door Lock Reciever (RCDLR) module connector.
2. Connect a fused jumper from the RCDLR connector, Interior Lamp Relay Coil Control circuit to ground.

Do the interior lamps illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Test the Interior Lamp Relay Coil Control circuit for an open, a short to ground or a short to voltage. Refer to Testing for Continuity , Testing for Short to Ground , Testing for a Short to Voltage in Wiring Systems.

Did you find a fault in the circuit?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Replace the RCDLR module. Refer to Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Replacement in Keyless Entry.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Transmitter Programming

Replace the Body Control Module (BCM). Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Transmitter Programming

Repair the faulty wiring. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
