1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine off.
2. Activate the windshield washer switch.

Does the windshield washer operate properly?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Do the windshield wipers continue to operate at low speed at all times?

Go to Wipers Always On

Go to Step 4

Test for a short to voltage in the windshield washer pump control circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Wiper Motor Cover Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Step 6
