Maintenance Schedule - Long Trip/Highway W/UH8

The services shown in this schedule up to 166 000 km (100,000 mi) should be preformed after 166 000 km (100,000 mi) at the same intervals. The services shown at 240 000 km (150,000 mi) should be preformed at the same interval after 240 000 km (150,000 mi).

* The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency or the California Air Resources Board has determined that the failure to perform this maintenance item will not nullify the emission warranty or limit recall liability prior to the completion of the vehicle's useful life. We, however, urge that all recommended maintenance services be performed at the indicated intervals and the maintenance be recorded.

# Lubricate the grease fittings in the suspension and steering linkage, the transaxle shift linkage, parking brake cable guides and underbody contact points and linkage.

Drain, flush and refill the cooling system (or every 60 months since the last cooling system service, whichever occurs first). Inspect hoses. Clean radiator, condenser, pressure cap and neck. Pressure test the cooling system and pressure cap.

The services shown in this schedule up to 166 000 km (100,000 mi) should be performedafter 166 000 km (100,000 mi) at the same intervals. The services shown at 240 000 km (150,000 mi) should be performedat the same interval after 240 000 km (150,000 mi).

Engine Oil Scheduled Maintenance

Change engine oil and filter as indicated by the GM Oil Life System™ ( or every 12  months, whichever occurs first). Reset the system. The system will show you when to change the oil - usually between 5 000 km (3,000 miles) and 12 500 km (7,500 miles) since the last oil change. Under severe conditions, the CHANGE OIL SOON message may be displayed before 5 000 km (3,000 miles).

Never drive your vehicle more than 12 500 km (7,500 miles) or 12 months without an oil and filter change.

The system will not detect dust in the oil. If the vehicle is driven in a dusty area, be sure to change the oil and filter every 5 000 km (3,000 miles) or sooner if the CHANGE OIL SOON message is displayed. Reset the Oil Life System when the oil and filter have been changed. Refer to Oil Life Monitor Resetting .

Drain, flush and refill the cooling system (or every 60 months since the last cooling system service, whichever occurs first). For information on the proper coolant to use, refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations . Inspect hoses, clean radiator, condenser, pressure cap and neck. Pressure test the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Leak Testing in Engine Cooling.
