Important: Do not remove the spark plugs when the engine is warm.

1. Twist the spark plug boots ½ turn and remove the spark plug wires from the spark plugs.



2. Remove the spark plugs from the engine.

Important: Some engines use aluminum heat shields over the spark plug boots on cylinder which have spark plugs close to the exhaust system. Care should be taken to ensure that these shields are placed in the proper locations and fully seated.

1. Install the spark plugs into the engine. Refer to Spark Plug Usage for the proper spark plug usage.

Tighten
Tighten the spark plugs to 15N·m (11 lb ft).

2. Install the spark plug wires over the spark plugs.
