    Object Number: 255984 Size: SH

Important: If using a bladed tool, protect the surrounding surfaces. Do not damage the paint.

  1. Use a braided wire or a thin bladed tool inserted between the molding and the sheet metal in order to split the foam tape.
  2. Notice: If tape is still intact on the molding or panel, do not remove the tape. Clean the tape and the mating surface with Adhesive Cleaner. Wipe the tape and mating surface with a clean, soft cloth. If the tape is damaged, refer to Emblem/Nameplate Replacement.

Important: Do not use rotating adhesive removal discs on the moldings. The rotating discs generate excessive heat. Excessive heat may cause molding damage.

  3. Use 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner 08984 or the equivalent in order to remove the old adhesive from the panel and the molding (if reusing).
  4. Use 3M Scotch-Brite Adhesive Removal Discs on the body panels.
