  1. Disconnect the memory seat module (MSM) connector C2.
  2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) from MSM connector C2 cavity A (ORN/BLK) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Connect a DMM from MSM connector C2 cavity A (ORN/BLK) to cavity B (BLK).

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

  1. Disconnect MSM connector C1.
  2. For vehicles without W01, connect a DMM from MSM connector C1 cavity B11 (ORN) to connector C2 cavity B (BLK).
  3. For vehicles with W01, connect a DMM from MSM connector C1 cavity D11 (ORN) to connector cavity B (BLK).

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

  1. Disconnect the left seat switch connector.
  2. Connect a DMM from MSM connector C2 cavity A (ORN/BLK) to the left seat switch connector cavity L (BLK).

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Connect a DMM from the left seat switch connector cavity J (ORN) to cavity L (BLK).

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Repair the open in CKT 1340 (ORN) between the rear junction block and the MSM. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 450 (BLK) between S208 and the MSM. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 2040 (ORN) between the rear junction block and the MSM. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 450 (BLK) between S332 and the left seat switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the seat switch connector from the appropriate cavity to ground:

    • Left: cavity J (ORN)
    • Right: cavity P (ORN)

Does the test lamp light?

Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the seat switch connector from the appropriate cavities:

    • Left: cavity J (ORN) to cavity L (BLK)
    • Right: cavity P (ORN) to cavity S (BLK)
