Removal Procedure

Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.

  1. Remove the 3 screws from the trough and shield assembly.
  2. Slide the trough and shield assembly to the rear.
  3. Cycle the glass panel to the vent position.

  4. Object Number: 258903  Size: SH
  5. Remove the 3 screws from each side of the glass panel.
  6. Remove the glass panel.

Installation Procedure

Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.

  1. Install the glass panel.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the 3 screws to each side of the glass panel.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  5. Close the glass panel to the flush position.
  6. Install the 3 screws to the trough and shield assembly.
