A squeak or rattle from the inside of the door
|
- Remove the trim panel.
- Inspect for the following conditions:

and allow the forward tabs to slide into the slots on the panel. |
• | If the tabs are not touching, bend the tabs in order to provide
positive contact. |
• | Ensure the rivets are tight to the inner bracket on the inside
handle. |
• | Inspect the rod clips at the latch. |
- Inspect the following connections:
• | The inside handle rod connection |
• | The inside lock knob rod connection |
- If the clips are broken or missing, replace the clips.

- For the rear door, ensure the anti-rattle foam pad is in place
under the rods.
- Ensure the inside rods cross correctly.

A water leak on the sill plate
|
- Inspect the glass contact edge of the inner belt.
- Perform the following steps:
2.1. | Ensure the fore and aft edge of the glass has a small wrap around
from the sealing strip. |
2.2. | Inspect for the following conditions of the strip: |
• | The sealing strip is folded under. Reposition the strip. |
• | The strip is torn. Replace the sealing strip. |

2.5.3. | Reinstall the inner belt sealing strip and retest. |
2.6. | If a leak exists, inspect for the following conditions: |
• | A misaligned water deflector |
• | A loose water deflector |
2.7. | Perform the following steps: |
• | Reposition the water deflector and smooth out any wrinkles. |

A windnoise at the ear and/or moisture line from the B-pillar upper corner
to the sill plate with an accumulation at the sill plate and/or carpeting
|
- Inspect the upper B-pillar area of the weather strip.
- Ensure the weather strip corner is smooth.

|
A windnoise and/or water leak at the transition area

- Inspect for a gap between the weather strip and the door below
the beltline.
- Insert a foam wedge behind the weather strip.
- Inspect for a noise or water leak. If a leak exists, perform the
following steps:
3.1. | Remove the weather strip along the vertical side only. |
