Removal Procedure

    Caution: Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the driver door. When operated, the Express Up/Down Feature allows the door window to move very quickly, without stopping, which could cause personal injury.

  1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  3. Remove the speaker assembly. Refer to Speaker Replacement .
  4. Remove the inner door garnish molding. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  5. Remove the mirror assembly. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .

  6. Loosen the front window run channel bolt (2).
  7. Remove the front window run channel (1).

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the driver door. When operated, the Express Up/Down Feature allows the door window to move very quickly, without stopping, which could cause personal injury.

  1. Install the front window run channel (1).
  2. Install the front window run channel bolt (2).
  3. Install the mirror assembly. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .

    4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Tighten the front window run channel bolt.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the attaching bolts to 9 N·m (72 lb in).

  5. Install the inner door garnish molding. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  6. Install the speaker. Refer to Speaker Replacement .
  7. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  8. Install the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
