- Install the fender (1)
to the vehicle.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolts (2)
in order to retain the fender to the upper rail.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Install the bolt (2)
in order to retain the top of the fender (1) at the door hinge pillar.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Install the bolts (2)
in order to retain the bottom of the fender (1) at the door hinge
pillar.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Install the bolt in order
to retain the fender (1) at the headlamp opening.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Install the lower hood hinge. Refer to

- Install the seal that retains the hood to the fender.
- Install the hood panel. Refer to
Hood Replacement

- Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Replacement

- Install the fender sound insulator. Refer to
Front Fender Insulator Replacement

- Install the wheelhouse assembly. Refer to
Wheelhouse Panel Replacement
