Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the electrical connectors (1) at the rear of
the rearview mirror assembly (2).
- Slide the wiring harness cover up and out of the way.
Notice: Do not use tools or other objects to pry the mirror mount or the mirror
away from the windshield. Using tools may damage the mirror mount, the mirror
or the windshield.
- Twist the rearview mirror assembly (2) to one side.
- Use one hand in order to support the edge of the rearview mirror
against the windshield (1).
- Use the other hand in order to pull the rearview mirror assembly (2)
away from the windshield with a sharp pulling motion.
Installation Procedure
- Position the bottom of
the rearview mirror base against the windshield at the top of the rearview
mirror support (2).
- Slide the rearview mirror base onto the rearview mirror support (2).
Ensure that the rearview mirror base is parallel to the windshield.
- Apply downward pressure to the rearview mirror base until the
rearview mirror base snaps onto the rearview mirror support (2) with
an audible click.
This operation requires at least 20 pounds of force.
- Adjust the rearview mirror (1) in a normal up/down and
side to side range in order to ensure that the rearview mirror (1)
is securely attached.
- Slide the wiring harness cover down.
- Connect the electrical connectors.
