Programming Procedure Without Rolling Code Receiver
- Hold down the 2 outside
buttons on the GDO until the red light flashes rapidly. This will initialize
the memory and erase any previous settings for all 3 channels.
- Decide which of the 3 channels you want to program.
- Hold the end of the hand-held transmitter within 13 mm
(0.5 in) of the bottom surface of the GDO transmitter. Ensure that
you can still see the red light.
- Press the hand-held transmitter button and the desired button
on the GDO opener at the same time. The GDO LED will begin to flash slowly.
Hold both buttons until you can see the red light on the GDO flash,
first slowly and then rapidly. This indicates that you have successfully programmed
the transmitter. This may take up to 90 seconds or more.
- Release both buttons.
Training the GDO for Rolling Code Procedure
- Program your hand-held transmitter to the GDO transmitter as described
in Programming Procedure Without Rolling Code Receiver.
- Remove the cover from your garage door opener receiver.
- Locate the training button on the garage door opener receiver.
Refer to the operators manual for the garage door opener, or call 1-800-355-3515
for assistance.
- Press the training button the garage door opener receiver for
1 - 2 seconds.
- Return to the GDO transmitter in the vehicle.
- Depress the button that you want programmed for the duration of
the rapid flash of the GDO red light for 1 - 2 seconds.
- Release the button. Re-press the button in order to verify that
the GDO transmitter has been programmed.
Erasing Channels
- Hold down the 2 outside buttons until the red light flashes
rapidly to erase all 3 of the programmed channels.
- Release the buttons. The individual channels may be reprogrammed,
but not erased.
- Use the following procedure to reprogram the channels:
3.1. | The customers hand-held transmitter may automatically stop programming
after 1 or 2 seconds. This may not be long enough to program
the HomeLink™ transmitter (Canadian users only). |
3.2. | If you are programming with one of these transmitters, the lamp
on the HomeLink™ transmitter may prompt you to reactivate the hand-held
transmitter with a series of double flashes. |
3.3. | After the hand-held transmitter is reactivated, the lamp on the
HomeLink™ transmitter flashes rapidly. This indicates that the transmitter
has been programmed successfully. |
3.4. | If the lamp returns to a slow flash, reactivate the hand-held
transmitter until the lamp flashes rapidly. |
