Was the RAP System Check performed?

Go to Step 2

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check

1. Close all of the passenger compartment doors.
2. Turn OFF the igintion.
3. Connect a scan tool set to RFA Special Functions.
4. Go to OUTPUTS for RAP.
5. Cycle the RAP function ON and then OFF.

Do the RAP controlled components operate?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 3

1. Remove the RAP relay.
2. Measure the resistance between terminal 30 and terminal 87 of the relay.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Replace the RAP relay.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check

1. Cycle the ignition switch from the RUN position to the OFF position.
2. Disconnect the RFA connector.

Do the RAP controlled components turn off?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Replace the RFA module. Refer to Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Replacement in Keyless Entry.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check

--

Repair a short to ground in CKT 707. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
