Important:
• Follow the screen prompts and the instructions. • Use the EXIT key in order to change from 1 function screen
to another. • Do not use the YES or the NO keys. Pressing YES or NO may disable the other features.
Select YES on each function that needs to be enabled for the particular vehicle RPO.
12.1. | Use the RPO chart and select the functions that are standard or optional for the particular vehicle being serviced. |
Failure to program the RFA module properly may cause the system to malfunction. A malfunction may cause misdiagnosis and customer complaints.
12.2. | When selecting the functions on a new RFA module on a vehicle that has Theft Deterrent UA6, go into option 3 on the scan tool. |
12.3. | Speed Up will appear as your only selection. |
12.4. | Select Deactivate. |
12.5. | Save the options. |
12.6. | Exit the system. |
If the function is not reset, the 30 second theft lamp illumination will reduce to 2 seconds.
The misdiagnosis of the theft deterrent system may occur if the function is not set properly.
