The battery voltage is supplied to the SBM at connector C1 terminal C9.
The SBM determines if the battery voltage is within a valid operating range.
DTC B1982 sets when the SBM determines that the battery voltage is above 15.5 volts.
• | DTC B1982 is stored in the SBM memory. |
• | The SBM will not respond to any manual or memory inputs when the voltage is greater than 15.5 volts. |
• | No driver warning message is displayed for this DTC. |
DTC B1982 changes to history when the SBM determines that the battery voltage is below 15.0 volts.
• | The DTC disables the setting of most other SBM DTCs. |
• | DTC B1982 may set if the vehicle is placed on a battery charger set on FAST or BOOST charge. |
