Did you perform the Instrument Cluster Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Disconnect the washer fluid level switch.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Use a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) in order to measure the voltage between connector terminal B (BLK) and ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Inspect for an open or short in CKT 99 (BLK).

Is the wiring OK?

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 99 (BLK).

Did you complete the repair?

Inspect instrument cluster connector C1 for proper terminal contact.

Is the terminal contact OK?

Repair the poor terminal contact.

Did you complete the repair?

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Connect a DMM between connector terminal B (BLK) and terminal A (BLK).

Is the measured voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Inspect CKT 1350 (BLK) for an open.

Is the wiring OK?

Repair the open in CKT 1350 (BLK).

Inspect in-line connector C105 for proper terminal contact.

Is the terminal contact OK?
