1. Turn OFF the ignition. Remove the key from the ignition.
2. Set the headlamp switch to OFF.
3. Disconnect the lamp control module (LCM) connector.

Did the warning chime turn off?

Go to Step 4

Replace the lamp control module (LCM).

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Audible Warnings System Check

--

1. Connect a scan tool to the data link connector (DLC).
2. Leave the LCM connector disconnected.
3. Use the SBM data list inputs function on the scan tool in order to check the LCM headlamp switch status input.

Is the input on?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Replace the body control module (SBM).

Repair CKT 549 (PPL/WHT) for a short to battery.
