  2. Turn the ignition to RUN.
  3. Measure the voltage from HUD switch connector terminal 7 to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

12-15 V

Does an open or short exist in CKT 841?

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 841.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Disconnect the HUD module connector.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  4. Measure the voltage from HUD module connector terminal A1 to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

12-15 V

Go to Step 7

Test CKT 841 for an open or short to ground.

Does an open or short exist in CKT 841?

Go to Step 6

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 841.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the HUD module connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  3. Measure the voltage from HUD module connector terminal A1 to terminal A8.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

12-15 V

Test CKT 351 for an open or short to ground.

Does an open or short to ground exist in CKT 351?

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 351.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Test CKT 622 for an open or short to ground.

Does an open or short to ground exist in CKT 622?

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 622.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Reconnect the HUD switch connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch in RUN.
  3. Set the HUD dim switch to maximum intensity.
  4. Measure the voltage from the HUD module connector terminal B8 to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

12-15 V

Inspect for loose or corroded terminals at the HUD switch connector.

Do any loose or corroded terminals exist?

Repair the loose or corroded terminals at the HUD switch connector.

Are the repairs complete?

Replace the HUD switch.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Test for an open or short to ground in the following circuits:
  3. • CKT 876
    • CKT 879
    • CKT 880

Does an open or short exist?

Repair the open or short to ground in the following circuits:

    • CKT 876
    • CKT 879
    • CKT 880

Are the repairs complete?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Reconnect the HUD module.
  3. Reconnect the HUD switch.
  4. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  5. Connect a fused jumper from the instrument cluster connector terminal A17 to ground.
  6. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  7. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  8. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.

Is the HUD image visible?
