Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 537218  Size: SH
  1. Remove the electrical connectors from the washer pump and the solvent level sensor switch, if equipped.
  2. Remove the washer hose from the washer pump.

  3. Object Number: 537222  Size: SH
  4. Remove the two nuts and the washer solvent container (the washer solvent container has a tab which is in a slot in the vehicle body).

  5. Object Number: 537226  Size: SH
  6. Remove the washer pump and the grommet from the washer solvent container.
  7. Remove the solvent level sensor, if equipped, from the washer solvent container.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 537226  Size: SH

    Important: The tab on the solvent level sensor must be aligned with the slot in the hole.

  1. Install the solvent level sensor, if equipped, into the washer solvent container.
  2. Install the grommet and the washer pump into the washer solvent container.

  3. Object Number: 537222  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the washer solvent container with two nuts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 8 N·m (70 lb in).

  6. Connect the electrical connectors to the solvent level sensor switch, if equipped, and the washer pump.
  7. Connect the washer hose to the washer pump.
  8. Fill the washer solvent container with washer solvent.
