Blower Motor Noise

  1. Foreign material is on the fan.
  2. The fan blades are broken or missing .
  3. The blower motor has internal damage.
  1. Remove the material. Reuse the blower motor if possible.
  2. Replace the motor and fan assembly.
  3. Replace the motor and fan assembly.

A/C Compressor Noise

  1. The compressor mounting bracket fasteners are not torqued to specifications
  2. The compressor mounting fasteners are not torqued to specifications.
  3. The A/C compressor pulley bearing is faulty.
  4. The belt slips.
  1. Inspect the compressor bracket to engine torque.
  2. Inspect the compressor to bracket torque.
  3. Replace the A/C compressor pulley and bearing.
  4. Inspect the belt tensioner, the idler pulley and/or the belt.

A/C Refrigerant Lines/Hoses Noise

  1. The lines or hoses are grounded.
  2. The lines or hoses rub on the other components.
  1. Reposition the A/C lines or hoses.
  2. Reposition and secure the lines and hoses.

HVAC Module Noise

  1. Foreign material is in the A/C module.
  2. The A/C module is not torqued to specifications.
  3. The actuator door is damaged.
  1. Remove the material from the case.
  2. Torque the A/C module to specifications.
  3. Repair or replace the door(s).
