Description

Before using the ABS/TCS procedures, you must have a basic knowledge of the following items. Without this basic knowledge, it will be difficult to use the diagnostic procedures.

    • Basic Electrical Circuits
       - The basic theory of electricity
       - Definitions of voltage, current (amps), and resistance (ohms)
       - Open/shorted wires
       - How to read a wiring diagram
    • Use of Circuit Testing Tools
       - The J 39200 DMM and the use of the meter controls
       - How to measure voltage, resistance, and current
       - Use of jumper wires in order to bypass components in testing circuits
