For 1990-2009 cars only
A red BRAKE warning lamp, located in the instrument panel cluster, is turned on when one or more of the following conditions exist:
| • | When the parking brake applied. The lamp comes on when the parking brake is applied and the ignition switch is on. |
| • | When the fluid level is low. The lamp comes on when the fluid level in the master cylinder becomes too low. |
| • | When the engine is cranking. The lamp comes on to indicate that the warning circuit is operating properly. |
