Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the console storage bin. Refer to Front Floor Console Compartment Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 262588  Size: SH
  3. Remove the 2 front fasteners (3) that connect the console assembly to the floor.
  4. Move the front seats to the full forward position.
  5. Remove the 2 rear side fasteners (2) that connect the console assembly to the floor.
  6. Lift the console assembly (1).
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  8. Remove the console assembly (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 262588  Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector.
  2. Align the console assembly (1) to the floor mounting holes.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the fasteners (2, 3) to the console assembly.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Install the console storage bin. Refer to Front Floor Console Compartment Replacement .
