Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Disconnect the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls.

  3. Object Number: 153305  Size: SH
  4. Remove the coolant reservoir nuts and bolts.
  5. Remove the coolant hose.

  6. Object Number: 153303  Size: SH
  7. Remove the coolant reservoir from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the coolant hose to the reservoir.

  2. Object Number: 153305  Size: SH
  3. Install the coolant reservoir.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the mounting nuts and bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the coolant reservoir mounting nuts and bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Reposition the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls.
  8. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
