SERVICE VME
When diagnosing front door window with an inoperative or binding condition, it is critical to check the position of the glass in the window run channel before you replace the window regulator.
2005 Window regulator warranty has been running very high and it is on parts return. Over 200 regulators have been returned and analyzed by the supplier and 75% have been checked with no trouble found.
The door glass installation process at the plant is not robust and the plant is in process of making change to correct it.
In order to eliminate unnecessary part replacements and comeback repairs, please inspect the door glass alignment and realign as necessary when you are working on inoperative or binding door window.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
