Automatic/Manual HVAC Options

Set Options

The scan tool displays: Manual HVAC, Automatic HVAC w Dual Zone, and Automatic HVAC w/o Dual Zone. This selection allows you to change the control panel type in the IPM.

Description

Display(s) Test

Output Control

The scan tool displays Commanded State: None, Off or On. When you select On, all segments of the HVAC Control Module, IPC, and radio should illuminate for 5 seconds, and all gauges should sweep through their full range of motion. When you select Off, all segments of the HVAC Control Module, IPC, and radio should be blank, and all gauges should be at zero for 5 seconds.

Afterblow

Set Options

Allows the blower motor to run after the ignition is turned OFF.

Air Inlet Door Position

HVAC Motors

The scan tool displays Outside or Recirc. selections. This function drives the actuator to its minimum (outside air) or maximum (recirculate) stops for 20 seconds.

Blower Motor

Miscellaneous Test

The scan tool displays Off or On selections. This function allows you to command the blower motor to its maximum (100%) or minimum (0%) speeds for 5 seconds.

Display(s) Test

The scan tool displays Off or On selections. When you select On, all segments of the HVAC Control Module, IPC, and radio should illuminate for 5 seconds, and all gauges should sweep through their full range of motion. When you select Off, all segments of the HVAC Control Module, IPC, and radio should be blank, and all gauges should be at zero for 5 seconds.

Htr./Def./A/C Door Position

HVAC Motors

The scan tool displays A/C or Defrost selections. This function drives the actuator to its minimum (defrost) or maximum (A/C) positions for 20 seconds.

Instant OAT Update

Miscellaneous Test

The scan tool displays: Commanded State: None or On. This function updates the IPM outside air temperature input to the current raw value.

IPM Recalibration

Miscellaneous Test

The scan tool displays: Commanded State: None or On. Selecting ON will update the IPM with the latest software calibration.

Left Temp Door Position

The scan tool displays Hot or Cold selections. The selection drives the actuator to its minimum (cold) or maximum (hot) positions for 20 seconds.

Recalibrate All Motors

The scan tool displays Commanded State: None or On. This functions commands all actuators to their fully opened and fully closed positions, and relearns these endpoints.

Relearn Control Panel Type

The scan tool displays Commanded State: None or On. This function allows the IPM to relearn the HVAC Control Module type.

A/C Relay

Engine Output Controls

The scan tool displays On or Off selections. This command allows you to turn the A/C relay On or Off. When the A/C relay is commanded On, the A/C compressor clutch should be engaged.
