Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the left sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the knee bolster . Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the mode actuator.

    4. Object Number: 292128 Size: SH
  4. Remove the mode actuator retaining screws (1).
  5. Remove the mode actuator.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 292128 Size: SH
  1. Align the mode door levers with the cam slots.
  2. Install the mode actuator.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the mode actuator retaining screws (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).

  4. Connect the electrical connector to the mode actuator.
  5. Install the knee bolster . Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  6. Install the left side sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  7. Re-calibrate the actuator. Refer to Actuator Recalibration .
