  1. Close all doors.
  2. Lock the left (or right) front door.
  3. Operate the left (or right) front door handle.

The interior lights illuminate.

The interior lights do not illuminate. Refer to Interior Lamps System Check in Lighting Systems.

Press the transmitter (keyfob) UNLOCK button.

The left (or right) front door unlocks.

The left (or right) front door does not unlock. Refer to Remote Keyless Entry System Check in keyless Entry.

  1. Close all doors.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  4. Open left (or right) front door.

The SECURITY indicator flashes.

Press the left (or right) front power door lock switch.

The SECURITY indicator illuminates.

Close the left (or right) front door. Stay in the vehicle.

    • The SECURITY indicator illuminates for 30 seconds.
    •  The CTD system arms.

  1. After one minute, use the mechanical lock/unlock lever in order to unlock the left (or right) front door.
  2. Open the left (or right) front door.

The horns and exterior lights cycle on and off. The lights cycle approximately once per second for three to seven minutes. The CTD system is in alarm mode.

Within three minutes after the CTD system enters the alarm mode, use the key in order to lock/unlock the left (or right) front door.

The horns and exterior lights stop cycling on and off. The CTD system disarmed.

  1. Rearm the CTD system.
  2. Press the remote keyless entry transmitter unlock button.
  3. Open Door

The CTD system is disarmed.

  1. While you are in the vehicle, use the mechanical door lever in order to lock each door.
  2. Close all doors.
    • The SECURITY indicator turns off when the last door is closed.
    • The CTD system does not enter the armed mode.

  1. Use the mechanical door lock lever or outside key lock in order to unlock the left front door.
  2. Open the door.

The CTD system does not enter the alarm mode.
