FIRM OR HARD FRT. SEAT PROCEDURE TO SOFTEN SEAT

MODELS AFFECTED: LESABRE, 1986 AND EARLY 1987, INTO JANUARY PRODUCTION

If a comment on firm or hard front seat cushion is received, the following procedure can be used to soften either driver or passenger side:

o See Illustrations.

o Determine if correction has already been done, reach under seat to check if center element (spring) is present. If so, continue to next step.

o Remove front seat.

o Detrim seat bottom, front and sides. It is not necessary to remove adjusters.

o Remove two (2) hog rings from rear of seat trim, to gain access to rear of element.

o Remove front and rear clips from center element.

o Open attaching tabs on seat frame, at ends of element.

o Remove element only from side which condition exists.

o Retrim seat.

o Reinstall seat.
