Makes 🢒 Buick 🢒 2009 🢒 LaCrosse 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 3.8L 🢒 Engine Oil Level Sensor and/or Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 190564 Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the engine oil drain plug in order to drain the engine oil.

    3. Object Number: 441263 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the oil level sensor electrical connector.
  4. Remove the engine oil level sensor from the oil pan.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 441263 Size: SH
  1. Install the engine oil level sensor to the oil pan.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the sensor to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  2. Connect the oil level sensor electrical connector.

    3. Object Number: 190564 Size: SH
  3. Install the engine oil drain plug.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the plug to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Fill the crankcase with engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement.
