Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the VehicleLifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the frame. Refer to Frame Replacement
  3. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement
  4. Remove the engine mount strut. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement

  5. Object Number: 161248  Size: SH
  6. Slightly lower the engine and transaxle to gain access the transaxle bracket to transaxle mount upper nuts.

  7. Object Number: 161246  Size: SH
  8. Remove the transaxle bracket to transaxle bolts.
  9. Remove the transaxle bracket and mount from the vehicle, then remove the mount from the bracket.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the mount the transaxle bracket.
  2. Position the transaxle bracket to the transaxle.

  3. Object Number: 161246  Size: SH
  4. Hand start the transaxle mount bracket to transaxle bolts.
  5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  6. Install the transaxle bracket bolts.
  7. Tighten
    Start with the forward lower bolt and work clockwise to tighten the transaxle bracket bolts to 95 N·m (70 lb ft).

  8. Install the transaxle bracket to the transaxle mount upper nuts.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).

  10. Install the frame. Refer to Frame Replacement
  11. Install the engine mount strut. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement
  12. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement
  13. Lower the vehicle.
