2005 Buick LaCrosse / Allure with Temperature Display Reading OC and B0161 - kw connector dic ip ipc sensor temperature

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

Temperature display reads OC on DIC and B0161.

Inspect terminals 14 and 21 at the IPC connector for being fully seated in the connector. Verify IPC connector is fully seated. If either terminal or if the IPC connector is not fully seated the temperature will display OC for "open circuit".

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
