Removal Procedure
- Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
- Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
- Remove the front door inner sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
- Remove the window to regulator bolts (2).
- Remove the window from the door.
Installation Procedure
- Position the window between the inner and the outer panels.
- Point the lower front corner of the window down.
- Pass the window through the belt opening.
- Turn the window to the horizontal position.
- Install the window to regulator bolts (2). Tighten the forward bolt first.
- Install the front door inner sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
- Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
- Install the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
Align the edges with the door window weatherstrip.
Align the holes in the window with the holes in the regulator. Ensure that both sealing lips on the front door outer belt sealing strip are not rolled over and pointing downward. If this condition is present, the window will not raise correctly.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the window to regulator bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
