Foreign material is obstructing the turn signal.

1. Clean the components.
2. Inspect the components.
3. Replace the components as needed. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .

The springs are loose or distorted.

Replace the springs as needed. Refer to Steering Column Housing - Disassemble (Floor Shift) or Steering Column Housing - Disassemble (Column Shift).

The switch arm is loose.

Tighten the arm to specifications. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .

The switch mounting screws are loose.

1. Inspect the switch installation and the mounting screw bosses on the lock housing cover.
2. Replace the components as needed. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .

The yoke is broken or distorted.

Replace the switch. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle or Steering Column Housing - Disassemble (Floor Shift) or Steering Column Housing - Disassemble (Column Shift).
